SEARCH TIPS

Below are some guidelines to help you get the best results from your search for information in the Leadership's Web site. When you enter a word or phrase into the search box and click on Go, you will be shown a list of all the documents containing that word or phrase. To see any document in full, click on its title in the list. The terms of the search will be highlighted in yellow. Exception: This search engine retrieves search terms and words with the same root, i.e. if you search on smoking, the results will include pages with the word "smoke" and this term will not be highlighted.

You will achieve more relevant results by using specific and descriptive search terms. Examples are given below:

  • Searches are case sensitive. It makes a difference whether you enter the word in upper or lower case or a mixture of the two.
Example: The searching result for Keyword "Research" and Keyword "research" are not same.

  • You can search for the exact word or phrase by enclosing the word or phrase in quotation marks.
Example: "Alcohol Free". Here the engine will search for all documents where the words " Alcohol Free " appear together.

  • To search multiple words at once, separate each word with a space.
Example: Alcohol Policy. Here the engine will search all documents for the words: Alcohol and/or Policy.

  • Use "and" (lower case) to find all documents that contain all the words you specify.
    Example: Education and Resources.

  • Use "or" (lower case) to find all documents that contain at least one of the words you specify.
    Example: Education or Resources.

  • Use "not" (lower case) to find all documents that contain the first word you enter but not the second.
    Example: smoking not policy.
