ALABAMA CHAPTERS OF NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS
State organizations may be valuable sources of information on prevention activities. Many of these organizations work together on special events and legislative activities. Listed below are national organizations and their Alabama chapters or affiliates.

Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) CADCA is a membership organization of over 5,000 anti-drug coalitions, each working to make their community safe, healthy and drug-free. The following are the Alabama members.

CADCA Coalition Members
Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) MADD’s members are moms, dads, young people, and other concerned individuals who want to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime, and prevent underage drinking.

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) NCADD affiliates provide information and referrals to local services, including counseling and treatment. They also conduct community prevention and education programs.
National Crime Prevention Council/Crime Prevention Coalition of America Associations and Programs The NCPC works with individuals, neighborhoods, communities, public and governments on identifying the causes of crime and violence and reducing the opportunities for crime to occur.
National Liquor Law Enforcement Association (NLLEA) NLLEA is a non-profit association of law enforcement personnel dedicated to improving the standards and practices of liquor law enforcement, the professional development of its members and the public recognition of the role and achievements of liquor law enforcement in protecting and promoting the public health and welfare. These are the Alabama members and the commissions where they work.
Students Against Destructive Decisions (SADD) SADD is a peer leadership organization. It provides students with prevention and intervention tools to deal with the issues of underage drinking, drug abuse and other destructive decisions.
