Introducing Catherine (Katie) Curran O’Malley, First Lady of Maryland

First Lady Catherine (Katie) Curran O’Malley, Associate Judge of the District Court of Baltimore City, brings her long history of public service to Leadership.

Starting out as a clerk in the Baltimore County State’s Attorney’s Office, Judge O'Malley eventually became Assistant State’s Attorney for Baltimore County. In this role, she prosecuted cases from simple misdemeanors to complex homicides in Baltimore County for more than 10 years. She handled many domestic violence cases and child sexual and physical abuse cases. She was appointed a judge in 2001.

Judge O’Malley received her law degree from the University of Baltimore. The O’Malleys have four children.
